Huh...

I did not blog for 5 months. Why? I blame Facebook. I have been a member since early this year but I was not active and for 4 hours I deactivated it. Because I don't post anything. So I deactivated it for 4 hours. Why did I activated it back? I have no idea.

Then last summer I was surfing the net, not really doing anything. I got an invite to Farmtown. I had invites before but I just ignored it, well because I didn't know what it was. So I checked it out and since then I got hooked.

Now I have two farms in Farmtown; one in Farmville, 4 aquariums in Fishville, a very raucous pet in Petville, I'm on level 54 in Cafe World and sometimes I play Bejeweled while waiting for all my crops to grow and all my recipes cooking.

So yes, I blame Facebook and Zynga games.

I love Facebook and Zynga!

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

A teaser trailer from Disney.

My Moleskine Planner Hack

Inspired by Flickr group DIY planner, I decided to use my moleskine squared notebook to customize my planner. I don't really need a lot of dividers/papers in my planner. Instead of buying a ready made one, I searched Flickr for diaries/planners that are DIY. It turns out there's a lot of pictures in the group, enough for me to "copy" and customize it in my own liking.

I have three moleskine: Large squared notebook which I adored, Moleskine City Notebook Los Angeles, even though I don't live in the city, there is so much to write about it, and the moleskine volant series. I initially wanted to use the volant for my planner but I changed my mind and used the squared one instead.

My pen is a Pilot multi pen that I got from Jetpens.com. I love that site, so many pens and I would love to have them all. But I still have a lot of pens.

Lagging behind

wow.
a month without a post.
i know.
there are days that I just wanted to sleep.
there are days that I am so lazy.
I guess those were the days.
A lot of things happened.
A good friend got married.
A lot of beach activities.
A friend visited.
A lot of driving around.
A lot of tears were shed.
Mixed emotions.
Michael Jackson died.
what else?
hmmm.
A lot of fireworks.
A lot of movies.
It's hot now.
Fiery hot.
I can't stand hot coffee now.
It has to be iced.
I guess my love for books came back.
I re-read the twilight saga and almost half way done with Breaking Dawn.
I re-read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Next on my list are the historian and in defense of food.
Is it fall yet?

Zankou Chicken

Zankou Chicken a specialty of the Armenian community in Glendale, CA. My friend brought me this chicken a few years back and loved it, but that time I just know that's the store is in Anaheim. Good thing my friend moved to Glendale area and I remembered about this sumptuous chicken. What I love is the garlic butter sauce. Not a good dating meal but so good in my stomach. Comes with pita bread which i love.

on my way to buying Zankou chicken I passed by a baklava bakery. So I tried the almond baklava. It's good but too sweet for me. Just one piece is enough.

LA Lakers vs Orlando Magic

Freakishly Freaky

Yesterday we had thunderstorms. Yes, thunderstorms in June. This is very weird since the month of June means summer and heat wave. I was driving east on the I-10 for an errand and I passed by 3-4 lightnings and thunders, gray clouds, intermittent rains and slippery roads. Of all the days that I need to head east it had to be yesterday. But so far so good I made it home four hours later.

Starbucks Mugs

I love drinking coffee.
I bought my first starbucks coffee mug from ebay.
Second was in Seattle.
The rest I got from thrift stores.
I was even surprised that they were there.
Yesterday I passed by a Starbucks and  asked the barista for an iced tea.
He told me that people usually order passionfruit tea.
So I tried it.
It's good, so refreshing because it's like a hundred degrees out.
What I'm doing outside with that weather?
I have no idea.
Then I saw this mug.
Very cute.
Simple.
I read somewhere that if they decided to stop
manufacturing mugs  that we will not have any shortage for the next 50 years.
That's how many mugs circulating around us.
Interesting.

Rose Bowl Flea Market Part II

These are the pictures I captured from the Rose Bowl Flea Market last Mother's day.

Chuck Taylor's. A lot of them.
                                                     African masks, anyone?
                                                             Tiny Chucks

                                                          Wooden chairs.
                                                              A funny one.
                                                                    Vintage bottles.
                                                             Old coffee cans.
                                                                 Vintage tin cans.
                                                           Very cute vintage radio.
Vintage salt and pepper shakers, they're so pretty.
I have no idea what these are. Maybe vintage soap dispensers?
                                                                           A red car.
The odds and ends of the flea market.
A phonograph that still plays good music.
                                                              A curio for pyrex.
                                                       Royal typewriter.
                                                            I want this one.
                                                              To those who surfs.
                                                                   What time is it?
                                                      Can't get enough chairs.
No digital camera in this lot.
                                                   A blazing red fire truck.
One must have this if you like flea markets.
                                                                   Before the iPhone.
                                                                           Ball jars.

Now, I'm off to a new adventure.
